The Glacier Trust specialises in Climate Change adaptation with a particular focus on remote mountain communities in Nepal. Our expertise is multiplied by the network of specialists we link to through our partnerships with Nepal based NGOs and our connections in academia.

Climate Change is creating numerous interconnected problems in Nepal, many millions will suffer in the coming decades unless they find environmentally, economically and socially sustainable ways to adapt. Adaptation can be enabled through training, knowledge sharing, community organising and basic physical resources. The Glacier Trust and many others are proving this.

To enable Climate Change adaptation, at the required scale, nations like Nepal will need dedicated professionals skilled in the delivery of training, community organising and infrastructure planning. Through our Higher Education programme, The Glacier Trust contributes to the production of the next generation of Climate Change adaptation specialists.
